Summary
Main objective of this project is to enable ICMP and BiH partners to carry out DNA-assisted identifications of missing persons from armed conflicts in BiH. It will also provide forensic support that will include forensic anthropological and archaeological assistance at sites of excavation, assistance to the NN Working Group Process, DNA assisted identifications and development of a web-based online inquiry center, offering ICMP’s domestic partners access to its extensive genetic database.
Results
Implementation of this project will result in: - Assistance to the NN Working Group Process and Forensic Anthropology and Archaeology Activities ensured, - Continuation of DNA matching and identification of the missing persons ensured, - Usage of ICMP’s OIC by individuals and organizations in BiH is significantly increased, - Legal Medicine in BiH is strengthened.
