Summary
The project plans to develop an integrated and environmentally sound waste management system in 6 municipalities in the cross-border area of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. At the same time, the plan is to increase the amount of recycled waste for 5% until the end of 2021 in these municipalities.
Results
Implementation of this project will result in: - 12 institutions and organizations increased their capacity for waste management, - Better enforcement of 6 waste management plans implemented, - Extra-curricular programme in secondary education on both sides of the border in 4 schools will be harmonized and introduced, - 6 % of program area population will be covered by public awareness raising and sensitized for waste reduction and proper collection.
