Summary
Results
Result 1: Management of COVID-19 outbreak by increasing healthcare system capacities for diagnostics The EU will fund Covid-19 test kits enabling timely and reliable testing of population that exhibits Covid-19 symptoms or comes from a cluster where Covid-19 is prevalent. EU-funded diagnostics supplies are provided to relevant healthcare institutions, and will benefit in particular four laboratories in Banja Luka, Mostar, Sarajevo, Tuzla according to their needs. Result 2: Enabling of adequate medical care for Covid-19 patients by providing critical medical equipment and supplies The EU also funds both personal protective equipment for medical staff and patients, as well as medical equipment needed for diagnostics and treatment of all types of Covid-19-infected patients. The EU-funded goods will benefit both people in the country who will have access to improved healthcare services, as well as the medical staff of various public healthcare facilities who will improve their capacities to deal with Covid-19 infected cases.
