Summary
This project is part of activities foreseen under IPA 2014 Special Measure for flood recovery and flood risk management. It addresses priorities under the BiH Action Plan for Floods Protection and River Management, adopted in 2015. A set of planned activities will serve to considerably upgrade the meteorological and hydrological observational network and strengthen measurement equipment capacities in BiH, specifically addressing Bosna River Basin and sub-basins of Ukrina, Tinja and Brka (all Sava River tributaries).
The assistance planned includes supply of equipment including adequate software and hardware needed to improve capacities of the services involved (procured undrer 4 different lots).
This particular contract, Lot 3 will provide land-field work equipment for the two Hydrometeorological Institutes (in FBiH and RS).
Results
Implementation of this project will result in:
- Provided equipment and related trainings for the project beneficiaries (digital current meters, all-terrain motor vehicles, inflatable boats - including outboard motor and trailer).
- This equipment is complementing equipment delivered under Lots. It will facilitate daily work of the project beneficiries in floods parameters monitoring and data gathering.
- Beneficiries are Hydrometeorological Institutes in FBiH and RS.
