Summary
Specific objectives of this project are: - To support media associations to establish a Media Interactive Exchange Hub as a tool for a joint professional exchange as well as for advocacy against endangered journalists’ independence an d integrity BiH and as a tool for dissemination of education and trainings re: EU standards in the field of media freedoms and reporting - To provide Training and Professional Expertise to the Core of Journalists and Editors in local media in order to improve professional journalistic standard and to devel op qualitative and trustworthy investigative stories for benefit of their audien ce Training for CSOs on media literacy; - To support stronger networki ng among media and CSOs by building a Media Content Laboratory that will use m odern gadgets and innovative approaches for producing, keeping and exchange of i nvestigative media stories between local media outlets across the country and fo r presenting showcases against journalists’ and media’ malpractice.
Results
Implementation of this project resulted in: - Journalists and editors obtained knowledge and the tool for production and exchange of journalistic sound- credible products; - Civil society is more educated and engaged in advocating the freedom of expression; - Media community is empowered and educated to call on EU standards in applying different mechanisms for protection of freedom of expression and in disseminating information - Increased exchange, networking and cooperation between local media, journalists, their groups and CSOs, introduced innovative approaches in investigative journalism to increase quality and credibility of investigative reporting and production of diverse, high-quality and comprehensive stories in the local media in BiH. - BiH citizens-audience consume more credible and trustworthy news, - Improved conditions for support to strong investigative journalism in local media in BiH.
