Summary
This project is part of activities foreseen under IPA 2014 Special Measure for flood recovery and flood risk management. Within Component 1, a set of planned activities will serve to considerably upgrade the meteorological and hydrological observational network and strengthen measurement equipment capacities in BiH, specifically addressing Bosna River Basin and sub-basins of Ukrina, Tinja and Brka (all Sava River tributaries).
The assistance planned includes supply of equipment including adequate software and hardware needed to improve capacities of the services involved as follows:
- Lot 1: IT and Supporting Equipment;
- Lot 2: Application Software;
- Lot 3: Land-field Work Equipment;
- Lot 4: Meteorological and Hydrological Stations.
Results
This project resulted in:
- Provided supplies under LOT 1: IT and Supporting Equipment.
- Beneficiaries are water sector responsible institutions, including Hydro Meteorological Institutes of FBiH and RS, Water Agencies and Brcko District.
