Summary
The Action will provide technical assistance and advice to the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency of Republika Srpska and the Brčko District Government, in reducing the socio-economic impact of the rising energy prices, in particular on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME’s) and vulnerable households, thus contributing to the long-term and accelerated socio-economic recovery, energy security and energy transition of the country. Moreover, the Action aims to offer technical assistance and support to the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in implementation of immediate energy poverty mitigation measures. Additionally, it will strengthen the capabilities of key institutional partners in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska, empowering them to enhance future planning, management, and delivery of social transfers and policies by utilizing a customized digital solution.
Results
The overall objective of the Action is To contribute to the effective mitigation of the immediate socio-economic impact of the rising energy prices and boosting sustainable economy-based climate-resilient low-carbon principles by enhancing the capability of relevant energy sector authorities. In that light, the specific objective is to increase the capacities of institutional partners to able to reduce socio-economic impact of the increasing energy prices on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME’s), residential sector and vulnerable households
